Wooden Garuda Idol – Hand Painted Garudalvar with Folded Hands, Antique Finish

Description

This Wooden Garuda Idol, also called Garudalvar, is carved from wood and painted by hand. Garuda is the divine eagle and the vehicle of Lord Vishnu. The idol shows Garuda standing with his hands folded in a respectful namaste. Big wings spread out behind him in black and gold. He wears a crown with a namam mark, an orange halo, a green necklace, red and gold jewellery and a blue dhoti. Green curved feathers fall on both sides of him. The antique style paint and fine carving give this idol a rich, classic look.

The idol stands on a strong carved base with colourful lotus petals. Place it in your pooja room near your Perumal idol, or at your entrance. It is a lovely gift for housewarming, Garuda Panchami, Vaikunta Ekadashi and festival days.

Since it is handmade, small changes in carving and paint are natural and add to its charm.
