Description
This Brass Urdhva Tandava Shiva Statue shows Lord Shiva as Nataraja, the King of Dance, in the Urdhva Tandava pose (Oordhva Thandavam). In this pose, Shiva stands on one leg and lifts the other leg high up to his head. The statue stands on a beautiful lotus base, with fine details on the face, crown and ornaments.
n
The story says Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali had a dance contest. To win, Shiva lifted his leg high above, a pose Kali did not do, and Shiva won the contest. This is why the Urdhva Tandava is seen as one of the rarest and most special forms of Nataraja.
n
Place it in your pooja room, living room or office. It is also a perfect gift for Bharatanatyam dancers, dance teachers and dance schools. Since it is handmade, small changes in design and finish may be seen, which makes each piece special.

Care Tip: Wipe with a soft dry cloth. To bring back the shine, clean with a little tamarind or lemon water, then wipe dry.
