Description
This Annapurna Devi Statue is a handcrafted idol of Goddess Annapoorani Amman, the goddess of food. She sits in a calm pose on a round lotus base, with a smiling face and a tall crown. In one hand she holds a ladle, and in the other a pot of food. Her jewellery, belt and dress have fine, detailed carving, and a small red stone shines in her ear.
Place her in your pooja room or near the kitchen. Many families keep Annapoorani at home so that food never runs short. Pray to her daily, and on Fridays, Navaratri and Annapoorani festival days. It is also a lovely gift for housewarming, a new kitchen and wedding.
Since it is handmade, small changes in finish and carving are natural and add to its charm.
