Description
Bring home the divine presence of Tirumala with this exquisite Kondapalli toy set featuring Lord Venkateswara Swamy and Goddess Alimelu Padmavathi. Handcrafted by skilled artisans of Kondapalli, Andhra Pradesh, this set is a timeless expression of Indian heritage and spirituality.
Authenticity & Craftsmanship:
This set belongs to the legacy of Kondapalli Bommalu, a cherished craft form protected under GI registration. Each piece is carved from Tella Poniki, a soft and lightweight white sander wood sourced from the Kondapalli hills. The separate parts of the idol are joined using Makku, a traditional natural adhesive prepared from tamarish seed powder and sawdust. The artisans then paint every detail by hand, using fine goat hair brushes and a blend of vegetable dyes and enamel colors, resulting in bright and long-lasting festive hues.
Design & Detailing:
The idols feature the characteristic Kondapalli style with rounded features, gentle smiling faces, and intricately carved crowns. The serene posture of Lord Balaji and the graceful presence of Goddess Padmavathi reflect the sacred charm of the Tirumala deity in a compact, artisan form.
Usage & Placement:
This small-sized set is ideal for Bommala Koluvu during Navaratri and Sankranthi festivities. It also makes a graceful addition to your home pooja room, living room display, or office desk. A meaningful gift for housewarmings, weddings, festivals, and corporate occasions.
Care Instructions:
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight to preserve the natural wood and hand-painted finish.
