Wooden Yali Vilakku Maadam – Wall Mounted Diya Shelf with Yazhi Face

Description

This Wooden Yali Vilakku Maadam is handcrafted from wood. The Yali, also called Yazhi, is a mythical temple creature seen in South Indian temples. Its yellow face with green leaf curls sits on top of a neat arch niche. A small round shelf at the bottom holds your lamp or diya. The bright paint stands out on the dark brown wood and gives a temple style look.

Fix it on the wall in your pooja room, living room, entrance or near your Tulasi plant. It is a lovely gift for housewarming, Karthigai Deepam, Diwali and festival days.

Since it is handmade, small changes in carving, paint and wood grain are natural and add to its charm.

Care Tip: Keep away from water and direct sunlight. Use a small clay or brass diya on a plate, or an LED lamp, and never leave a lit lamp alone. Fix it on a strong wall with good wall plugs.
